Concern America's Walk Out of Poverty
What is the Walk Out of Poverty? Concern America's 20th Annual Walk Out of Poverty is a A five-mile walk at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley, CA. Funds raised will support the provision of health education, clean water systems, and education for impoverished areas around the world. View some of the photos from last year’s walk, which raised over $80,000! Register: Registration is $35 per person. (Children 5 and under walk for free, but must still register!) T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Set a Goal: As a team or individual, choose an amount to fundraise! Any amount counts: $100 provides a person with clean water for 25 years; $1000 enables full medical training for a village health care provider. Fundraise: Outreach to family members, coworkers, schoolmates, and more to give through your online page or by checks and cash (which can be turned in the morning of the walk or mailed to Concern America). We encourage every walker to raise at least $100. To fundraise in person, download the form to keep track of your sponsors. Join Us to Walk: The event takes place on Saturday, April 8. Arrive at 6:45 am at Holy Spirit Church in Fountain Valley. Check in, get a snack, and pick up your t-shirt! We begin the five-mile walk at 7:30 am.
