About the Training   The OSHA 10-hour General Industry Safety training is the introduction to Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety regulations that all organizations with employees must comply with and is based on the OSHA 1910 Standards. This OSHA 10 Hour training course is designed for employees in manufacturing operations, health care industries, transportation, warehousing, chemical plants, oil and gas production operations, and service industries.   The 2-day training results in the issuance of a serialized OSHA 10 Hour Safety Card that is valid in all 50 states and does NOT expire.   The Training is 8:00am to 3:00pm on Friday and 8:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday. You MUST COMPLETE BOTH DAYS of training to receive your OSHA 10 Hour Safety Card.   Admission to the OSHA 10 Hour Safety Training for Veterans requires one of the following:   VA ID Card, or Military ID, or DD-214 and Photo ID.   What the Training Will Do   Provide information on how to identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job-related hazards on a job site.   Cover a variety of common general industry safety and health hazards that workers may encounter.   You will also learn about the careers in the Health and Safery Industry and how military experience combined with knowledge of OSHA Safety Regulations can enhance your value to an employer from veterans in the Safety Industry.   Topics Covered Include: • Introduction to OSHA• Walking and Working Services• Fall Protection• Exit Routes• Emergency Action Plans• Fire Prevention Plans• Fire Protection• Identifying Electrical Hazards• Electrical Grounding and Protection Standards• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)• Respiratory Protection• Hazard Communication• Hazardous Materials• Machine Guarding• OSHA Safety and Health Programs
